Emergency's Anti-War Photo Show Opens at Palazzo delle Esposizioni

The exhibition 'Contro la guerra. Sguardi e immaginari' at Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome, curated by the Cheap collective, presents archival photographs from Emergency alongside posters by Cheap and invited international artists. Running until June 20, the show features large black-and-white images of Emergency's medical work in Afghanistan and Iraq, paired with Cheap's slogans such as 'Disobbedite con generosità' and 'Sabotate con grazia'. The exhibition includes works by artists from Italy, Brazil, Spain, and Poland. Cheap describes the show as 'an act of political sabotage against the normalization of war', while Emergency states the goal is to adopt a non-discriminatory public stance against the rhetoric of war as inevitable. The exhibition is part of Cheap's broader collaborations with Amnesty International and ARCI.
