Emanuele Becheri Curates Self-Portrait Exhibition at Museo d’Inverno, Siena

Emanuele Becheri (born 1973, Prato) has orchestrated a group exhibition at the Museo d’Inverno in Siena, centered on the theme of self-portraiture. The show, titled 'Autoritratti per una collezione, 2023', features ten works donated by artists who have engaged in intellectual exchange and collaboration with Becheri over the past two decades. The exhibition is conceived as a plurality of voices, with each piece reflecting the artists' individual sensibilities and stylistic signatures. The display opens with a terracotta by Luciano Bechicchi, paired with a small photograph by Paolo Meoni. Opposite, a self-portrait by Luca Rento accompanies a sculpture by Davide Rivalta, contrasted with a delicate scacciapensieri by Marco Bernacchia. In the second room, a refined double portrait by Michelangelo Consani is shown alongside sculptures by Francesco Carone and Carlo Guaita, and an iron work by Rolando Deval. A projection by Massimo Carrozzo on the Fonte Nuova inaugurated the exhibition. The heterogeneous approaches of the artists create a dynamic intellectual space where stylistic boundaries dissolve.
