Elvira Dyangani Ose Appointed Artistic Director for Public Art Abu Dhabi Biennial 2026
Elvira Dyangani Ose has been named the artistic director for the Public Art Abu Dhabi Biennial, which will kick off this fall and continue through 2027. She currently leads MACBA in Barcelona and has an impressive curatorial background, having worked with Tate Modern, Creative Time, and The Showroom in London. Ose has co-curated the 8th Gothenburg Biennial in 2015 and organized shows at Fondazione Prada. Her upcoming projects include Project a Black Planet (2024–2027), Coco Fusco’s exhibition in 2025, and Goshka Macuga’s Miu Miu Tales and Tellers (2024–2025). Her focus is on participatory historical narratives in public spaces. The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi announced her new role.
