Eltjon Valle's Oil-Stained Teddy Bear Pyramid at New Milan Gallery
A'nica Art Gallery, a new contemporary art space in Milan's Solari district, inaugurated with a solo show by Albanian artist Eltjon Valle. The opening featured a performance by curator Klod Dedja, who kicked and shattered a black skull behind the gallery's glass door. Valle's central installation is a horizontal pyramid of teddy bears stained with crude oil, symbolizing environmental degradation and lost childhoods. A smaller room displays a patch of polluted soil from Valle's native Albania. The artist was born in Kuçova in 1984.
