Elsewhere Art Fair Launches in Philadelphia with Affordable Model
Philadelphia will host Elsewhere, its second-ever contemporary art fair, starting June 4 at the Yowie Hotel. Organized by Megan Galardi of Blah Blah Gallery, the fair features 26 upstart galleries from Los Angeles to Toronto. Booth prices are as low as $3,000 for 400-square-foot rooms, which exhibitors can also sleep in. Galardi aims to make the fair accessible and community-focused, with DJs, panels, reciprocal museum tours, and VIP studio visits. Notable participants include DARLA showcasing Qualeasha Wood, and Harlesden High Street presenting Emmanuel Massillon. The fair occupies two 1900s rowhouses and emphasizes local connections by interspersing Philadelphia galleries throughout.
