Elmgreen & Dragset's 'The Alice in Wonderland Syndrome' opens at Pace Gallery Los Angeles

From September 13 to October 25, 2025, Michael Elmgreen and Ingar Dragset will showcase their inaugural solo exhibition in Los Angeles at Pace Gallery. This event signifies their fourth collaboration with Pace, aligning with the 30th anniversary of their partnership and the 20th anniversary of Prada Marfa. Entitled 'The Alice in Wonderland Syndrome,' the exhibition delves into perceptual distortion through architectural alterations. Featured pieces include hyperreal sculptures depicting figures in solitude, the Sky Target series, and stripe paintings. Since their inception in 1995, Elmgreen & Dragset have examined constructed spaces and exhibition practices. The exhibition reflects current social dynamics amidst ongoing tensions in Los Angeles, with all works displayed with forensic precision, continuing their exploration of reality.
