Elmgreen & Dragset Release Limited Bronze Edition 'Boy with Bird' via Monopol
The German art magazine Monopol has collaborated with Elmgreen & Dragset to release a limited bronze edition of their sculpture titled 'Boy with Bird.' This artwork features a boy in rubber boots cradling a bird, representing a child's initial experience with death. For over thirty years, Danish artist Michael Elmgreen and Norwegian artist Ingar Dragset have worked together, employing humor to question artistic conventions. Their exhibition, 'Stillleben mit Gemüse,' is currently showcased at the Städel Museum in Frankfurt. The 'Boy with Bird' sculpture measures 26 cm in height and comes in black-patinated or white-lacquered bronze, with only ten copies and two artist proofs available for each color, priced at €10,500.
