ElliottArchitects Completes House at Town's Edge in Maine

architecture-design · 2026-05-07

ElliottArchitects has finalized the House at Town's Edge, a residential structure situated on an existing foundation in Maine. Spanning 3,906 square feet, the home connects two contrasting environments: a five-minute stroll to the town center and direct access to the Maine woods. Exterior areas such as the parking space, entryway, and back patio are defined by a rift of granite blocks, which also create a wood stove alcove within the living area. The project team features lead architect Matt Elliott, AIA, alongside designers Isaac Robbins and Sarah Elliott. Jon D. Woodward & Sons served as the general contractor, with landscape architecture by davidmaynesSTUDIO, structural engineering by Thornton Tomasetti, and lighting design by Greg Day Lighting. Photography is credited to Jeff Roberts. The landscaping and interior elements reflect the owners' appreciation for Maine granite quarries. This project was completed in 2024.
