Ella Cisneros Speaks at Peggy Guggenheim Collection's Le Visionarie Series

The Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice is commemorating two anniversaries in 2019: 70 years since Peggy Guggenheim moved to Palazzo Venier dei Leoni in 1949, and 40 years since her death in 1979. The institution has launched a program called 'La continuità di una visione' to honor her legacy, featuring a series of talks titled 'Le Visionarie' that invite contemporary female collectors to share their experiences. Previous speakers included Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo and Lekha Poddar. On November 4, 2019, at Palazzo Franchetti, Ella Cisneros will be in conversation with Jesús Fuenmayor. Cisneros is a collector, entrepreneur, and founder of the Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation (CIFO), established in 2002. She began collecting contemporary art in the 1970s and now owns one of the world's most important collections of Latin American art, with over 3,000 works spanning geometric abstraction, video art, and photography. CIFO supports and promotes Latin American art internationally.
