Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts Hosts Annual Open Studios Featuring 76 Artists and Robert Blackburn Workshop
The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts (EFA) will hold its annual Open Studios event this weekend, with evening hours on Thursday and Friday and daytime access on Saturday. A Thursday evening reception from 6:00pm to 10:00pm will celebrate the 76 artists who maintain studios at the foundation's six-story Midtown building, including artist Gary Petersen. Founded in 1992 with initial funding from arts patron Elizabeth Stanley, the EFA has consistently supported artists through various grant and studio initiatives. The weekend also offers a chance to view works by members of the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop, which relocated to the EFA premises after being bequeathed to the foundation by its founder in 2003. Originally established in 1948, the printmaking workshop now operates from the EFA's headquarters.
