Elisabetta Sgarbi's Film 'Nino Migliori. Viaggio intorno alla mia stanza' Premieres at Rome Film Fest

At the 17th Rome Film Festival, Elisabetta Sgarbi presented her new documentary 'Nino Migliori. Viaggio intorno alla mia stanza', a portrait of the 96-year-old photographer Nino Migliori. The film, lasting 41 minutes and 20 seconds, was shot in Migliori's atelier in Bologna and features a play of mirrors between the artist and the director. Sgarbi, a prominent figure in Italian culture, also attended the festival for the premiere of 'Il colibrì' directed by Francesca Archibugi, based on the novel by Sandro Veronesi published by Sgarbi's La nave di Teseo. The documentary's title references Xavier de Maistre's 1794 novel 'Voyage autour de ma chambre'. Migliori, born in Bologna in 1926, is a renowned experimental photographer whose works are held in major collections including MAMbo Bologna, MoMA New York, and the Metropolitan Museum. Sgarbi previously featured Migliori's work in a 2022 exhibition at La Milanesiana titled 'Nino Migliori. Lumen – A lume di candela' at Galleria Ceribelli in Bergamo.
