Elena Sisto Returns to New York with Two Solo Shows

Elena Sisto, a well-known painter famous for her studio-focused artwork, is currently presenting two solo shows in New York. This is her first exhibition in the city since 2004, titled "As We Dream," which is being held at Bookstein Projects and runs until October 27. At the same time, a second exhibition at James Cohan is available until October 20. Sisto has also been awarded a fellowship, and her first solo display with Lori Bookstein kicks off this Thursday. She shares that her current focus is on painting what she knows best—her studio. Her work reflects the notion that "a field of vision depends on what’s in your mind." Additionally, Leslie Wayne's "Free Experience" is at Jack Shainman Gallery from September 7 to October 21, 2017, linking Sisto to artists like Chuck Close and Paul Simon.
