Elena Giustozzi's 'Inside' Exhibition at Palazzo Buonaccorsi, Macerata

Elena Giustozzi (b. 1983, Civitanova Marche) presents 'Inside,' a solo exhibition curated by Paola Ballesi at the Musei Civici di Palazzo Buonaccorsi in Macerata. The show features oil paintings from the 'Vasche' series, epoxy resin installations from 'Affioramenti,' and video works that immerse viewers in a liquid universe where natural fragments—leaves, branches, fish, insects, pollen, clouds—stratify as objective correlatives of emotions and memories. Curator Ballesi writes that the artist does not gaze like Narcissus but dives in to offer a vision beyond the self. Giustozzi studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Macerata, earning a first-level diploma in Decoration and a specialist degree in Painting in 2012. She won the Premio Business for Art – Premio Arte Laguna (Venice) in 2012 and an Art Residency Project in Cape Town in 2017. Since 2013 she has collaborated with the Accademia di Belle Arti di Macerata, and since 2018 she has been a laboratory technician for painting and visual arts courses. On December 4, 2021, she received the Premio Pannaggi / Nuova Generazione 2021, a prize for emerging artists under 40 from the Marche region.
