Elena Bellantoni's participatory exhibition at Fondazione Rossini

Elena Bellantoni, born in Vibo Valentia in 1975 and based in Rome, presents a solo exhibition at Fondazione Pietro Rossini in Briosco, curated by Francesca Guerisoli, running until October 29. Titled 'I give you my word, I give you my world,' the show centers on the theme of language, using play and site-specific works to engage viewers. Works include 'Impero Ottomano' (2015-2017), a tug-of-war between East and West where visitors answer 'What resists?'; 'Parole Cunzate' (2015), inspired by the Ostuni tradition of mending broken objects, inviting participants to break a plate and reflect on fractures; and pieces from 2017 such as 'Biliardio,' a gold-plated foosball man as pop icon, 'L’età dell’oro' featuring impossible golden games, and 'Effetto Butterfly,' an invisible tennis match referencing Antonioni's 'Blow-Up.' The exhibition transforms with each context and participant.
