Elementi Festival Turns Romagna into a Stage for Sound, Art, and Nature

festival-fair · 2026-04-27

From June 3 to August 8, the Elementi festival transforms Romagna into a diffuse stage across ten locations, blending sound, art, and nature. Organized by associations Magma and Mu, now in its third edition, the festival expands from the coast to inland areas, involving nine municipalities: Faenza, Lugo, Cervia, Cesenatico, Fusignano, Cotignola, Bagnacavallo, Bagnara di Romagna, and Massa Lombarda. All events are free. The festival opens at Villa Orestina in Faenza with a live set by Ciro Vitiello (Giuseppe Federico Pastore) and a DJ set by XIII (Alessio Capovilla). Other venues include the Bosco di Fusignano (J.H. Guraj), the Galleria Vegetale in Cotignola (Nuova Superficie and Sara Berts), the Bacino di Laminazione in Bagnacavallo (Feldermelder and Federica Furlani), the Aia della Salina in Cervia (Mike Cooper), the Rocca Sforzesca in Bagnara di Romagna (Oren Ambarchi), the Antico Lavatoio in Massa Lombarda (Domiziano Maselli and Leonardo Rubboli), the Torre Esagonale in Cervia (Tim Shaw and Laura Agnusdei), the Aeroporto Francesco Baracca in Lugo (Mohammad Reza Mortazavi and Lamusa II), and the Parco di Levante in Cesenatico (Annamaria Ajmone and Glauco Salvo). The festival emphasizes the dialogue between performance and landscape, offering immersive experiences ranging from ambient to field recordings, live acoustics, analog machines, audiovisual installations, and headphone listening.
