Electa opens redesigned bookshop at Palazzo Altemps in Rome
A new bookshop has opened at Palazzo Altemps in Rome, managed by publisher Electa in agreement with the National Roman Museum. The shop, relocated to Piazza di Sant'Apollinare for greater visibility, specializes in archaeology, architecture, and art, with a strong design section tied to the ongoing Piero Fornasetti exhibition. The interior is designed as a transparent, airy living room, illuminated by Ingo Maurer lamps. The editorial offer includes the official National Roman Museum merchandise line by Tassinari/Vetta and a selection of Atelier Fornasetti objects. Palazzo Altemps, a historic residence near Piazza Navona, houses one of the four seats of the National Roman Museum and displays major ancient sculpture collections.
