Eleanor Antin Retrospective at MUDAM Luxembourg Surveys Five Decades of Feminist Conceptual Art

Eleanor Antin: A Retrospective is currently on display at MUDAM in Luxembourg, marking the first significant European overview of the artist's extensive five-decade journey, which will be open until 8 February 2025. The exhibition showcases Antin's diverse artistic approach, presenting notable pieces such as CARVING: A Traditional Sculpture (1972) and CARVING: 45 Years Later (2017). It delves into her alter egos, especially The King, and highlights themes related to female bodies and lesser-known women artists from her 1970s New York network, including Carolee Schneeman and Kathy Acker. Additionally, her 100 Boots series, which premiered at MoMA in 1975, is included in the Road Movie section.
