Elche Opens Call for 28th Young Cinema Show

The 28th Mostra de Cinema Jove has been announced by the Elche City Council, targeting Spanish youth and legally residing foreigners aged 14 to 30. Film submissions will be accepted following the publication in the provincial bulletin, with a deadline of May 4, 2026. Entries must be original works created after January 1, 2025, in .mov or .mp4 format (1080p, stereo 2.0), and should not exceed 15 minutes in duration. While any theme is permissible, submissions must not promote tobacco, alcohol, drugs, or violate human dignity. Films not in Spanish or Valencian must include subtitles. A total of €5,300 will be awarded across eight categories. Screenings will take place from June 1-5, 2026, and the awards ceremony is set for June 6. Winners residing more than 150 km from Elche will be provided accommodation.
