El Museo del Barrio Names Curatorial Team for LA TRIENAL 2027
The curatorial team for LA TRIENAL 2027, the flagship exhibition of Latine contemporary art at El Museo del Barrio, has been revealed. Leading the curation will be Susanna V. Temkin, the Interim Chief Curator, with Zuna Maza as Assistant Curator and Kaitlin Garcia-Maestas as Guest Curator. Temkin, who has been with the museum since 2018, was instrumental in the previous editions held in 2021 and 2024 and was pivotal in transforming the triennial from the earlier 'S Files' series (1999-2013). Maza also oversaw the publication for FLOW STATES – LA TRIENAL 2024. This all-female team brings a wealth of expertise and insights, visiting studios of artists throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, and the diaspora.
