Eight murals in Milan celebrate neighborhood identities
The initiative curated by Yes Milano, in collaboration with the Ufficio Arte negli Spazi Pubblici and supported by Fondazione di Comunità Milano, has created eight public artworks across Milan that artistically interpret the identity of each district. Part of the Neighborhood by Neighborhood campaign by Milano&Partners, seven murals have already been completed in Bovisa, Portello, Città Studi, Porta Romana, Gallaratese, Lorenteggio, and Corvetto. Artists include Sorte (Andrea Gasparro) in Bovisa, Rendo at Portello, Orticanoodles and Marco Goran Romano in Porta Romana, Serena Confalonieri in Città Studi, Pao (Paolo Bordino) in Gallaratese, Napal in Lorenteggio, and Pablo "Pinxit" Compagnucci with Lillo Loris at Corvetto. The project aims to promote lesser-known areas through street art, a practice already widespread in Milan with corporate and grassroots projects. The eighth mural is pending, along with a photo reportage by Daniela Cavallo.
