Egor Brodunov's Perfume CGI as a Study in Light and Glass
Egor Brodunov created a perfume CGI that treats glass, water, and light as the primary subject, built in Houdini and Redshift. The piece lands between product spot and visual study, featuring the Stronger With You bottle in a cinematic frame with warm amber light and deep cool shadow. Macro proximity and choreographed splashes and droplets in Houdini, carried through to Redshift, use reflections for storytelling. The label typography remains sharp against a soft warm-toned background, with depth of field focusing on one corner of the glass. Brodunov directed, modeled, simulated, and graded the entire project solo from Belarus, using a pipeline of Houdini, Cinema 4D, Blender, Redshift, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve. There is no client brief, giving the work room to behave as a study rather than a sales tool. Sound was by Aiyo, with thanks to Paul Esteves and Bao Motion Design.
