Efisio Rocco Marras Debuts as Creative Director of I'm Isola Marras at AltaRoma

Efisio Rocco Marras, born in 1992, has been appointed creative director of I'm Isola Marras, the contemporary line of the family brand founded by his father Antonio Marras. The announcement was made during a talk at the Coin Excelsior department store on Via Cola di Rienzo, part of the AltaRoma event. The line originally launched in 2007 and debuted at Milan Fashion Week with spring-summer 2018 collections. Efisio Rocco aims to offer a limitless space for youth creativity. For the upcoming spring-summer season, he drew inspiration from Mathilda Lando, the protagonist of Luc Besson's film 'Léon,' with a manga touch by Masamune Shirow. The menswear collection for autumn-winter 2017-18 started with a few pieces emphasizing a contemporary attitude. During AltaRoma, at the Guido Reni District, the summer collection was presented as a tableau vivant blending performance and défilé, featuring androgynous figures with clean lines, avant-garde romanticism, and punk elements. Signature family details like perforated silver textures, bombers, combat boots, striped shirts, flower power prints, and damasks remain. The brand's identity continues with quality knitwear and the logoed ribbon. Antonio Marras expressed pride in the generational handover, noting their different worldviews.
