Eel conservation centre leads University of Nottingham architecture school show
University of Nottingham's Department of Architecture and Built Environment has presented student projects for its Dezeen School Show. Lily-Grace Conradie's Anguilla is a landscape-led conservation and education centre responding to the European eel's decline. Faith Spencer turned a Milton Keynes car park into a civic housing factory. Oyku Kadioglu designed a soil research centre in Lincoln. Design+Build Studio highlighted its South African daycare projects, which have served over 4,000 children since 2009. Other schemes include Nishty Anupchandra's visible water-treatment academy, Oliver Hanley's veterans' housing in Uxbridge, Ella Moore's artist community at Hull's Humber Dock Marina, Eva Milanta's Liverpool materials warehouse, Jack Bleazard's reuse hub on the Manchester Ship Canal, and Hope Yeates' quarry climbing centre. Tutors include Margaret Mulcahy and Alisdair Russell.
