Edwyn Collins announces retirement after final Spanish tour

Edwyn Collins, former frontman of the Scottish post-punk band Orange Juice, has announced his retirement from live performance at age 67. The musician, who suffered two strokes and survived industry rejection, will embark on a farewell Testimonial Tour across Spain starting April 29 in Bilbao, with stops in Madrid, Valencia, San Sebastián, Barcelona, Zaragoza, and other cities. The setlist will include songs from Orange Juice and his solo career. Collins's decision to retire was influenced by his wife and manager Grace Maxwell, who has managed his career for over 40 years. The tour marks the end of nearly five decades of music-making.
