Eduardo Mendoza presents new detective novel 'La intriga del funeral inconveniente' in Barcelona

Eduardo Mendoza introduced his latest book, 'La intriga del funeral inconveniente', during a press event in Barcelona on Monday. The writer, known for his detective fiction, revisited his unnamed detective character, first featured in earlier works. Mendoza remarked that he does not view himself as an artist but rather as a craftsman. This presentation follows his previous novel, 'Tres enigmas para la Organización', released two years ago by Seix Barral. He expressed hope at that time for a future reunion, which has now occurred. The event took place at the same location as his last media gathering. Mendoza's new publication continues his long-standing partnership with his usual publisher. The book launch coincides with discussions about Spanish cinema's presence at Cannes, including Aina Clotet's debut in the Semana de la Crítica.
