Edoardo Tresoldi Speaks at Istanbul Technical University, Exhibition in Forlì

On October 9, 2018, Edoardo Tresoldi, an Italian artist born in 1987, gave a talk titled "From the Absent Matter to the Metaphysical Ruin" at the Istanbul Technical University Macka Campus. This lecture was part of the Design Explorers Beyond Time #6 event, organized by the Arkitera Architecture Center and supported by Geberit. Tresoldi, notable for being the first non-architect in the Arkimeet series, explored the idea of "Absent Matter," which signifies mental projections, and "Metaphysical Ruin," a concept he introduced at the Business of Design Week in Hong Kong in December 2017, relating it to the Basilica of Siponto. The Arkitera Architecture Center seeks to promote architectural culture in Turkey, having previously hosted speakers like Richard Rogers, Zaha Hadid, and Rem Koolhaas. An exhibition in Forlì was also referenced.
