Edoardo Mozzanega's Participatory Performances Transform Milan's Wheat Field Library

Edoardo Mozzanega (born 1988) presents two participatory interventions at Milan's Biblioteca del Grano during the city's Art Week and Design Week in 2026. Mozzanega's first work, 'Tiger's nap' on April 20, invites participants to sleep together in public space, transforming rest into shared experience. The following day, April 21, features 'A house full of tigers,' a workshop inspired by Social Dreaming where collective storytelling builds shared imaginaries. Both events require free registration and occur at Via Vaiano Valle in Milan. The Biblioteca del Grano, initiated by cultural organization Terzo Paesaggio, represents a hybrid experiment merging art, ecology, and public space. Originally sown by hundreds of children in experimental plots, this wheat field has evolved into a permanent cultural platform examining urban-agricultural relationships. The 2026 program includes residencies, collective actions, and public moments that redefine landscape as relational space. Within this framework, the temporary campus 'Learning Landscapes' gathers an international community of designers, artists, and researchers under 35 to interrogate food as cultural infrastructure. Located between the Villaggio Olimpico and Rogoredo districts just kilometers from Milan's center, the Biblioteca del Grano has developed into an active research platform where artistic, pedagogical, and ecological practices coexist and influence each other.
