Edinburgh Art Festival 2014: Highlights and International Scope
The Edinburgh Art Festival, which draws more than 250,000 attendees each year, boasts over 45 exhibitions in prominent museums and galleries. Among the standout features of the 2014 festival are Augusto Corrieri's solo exhibition, 'Generation: 25 Years of Contemporary Art in Scotland,' 'American Impressionism: A New Vision,' 'Counterpoint,' and 'The King’s Peace: Realism and War.' Katie Paterson showcases 'Ideas,' highlighting the acclaimed 'Fossil Necklace.' The 'Alt-w' segment presents new creations from Chris Helson, Sarah Jackets, Hadi Mehrpouya, Robert Powell, Donna Leishman, and Calum Stirling.
