Edilpiù celebrates 40 years with art and territory projects in Romagna

architecture-design · 2026-04-27

Window manufacturer Edilpiù, founded on January 16, 1981, in Lugo (Ravenna), marks its 40th anniversary with two projects that honor its territory rather than itself. The first is "Lunette," an installation by architect and graphic designer Federico Babina (based in Barcelona) in the garden at the foot of the Rocca in Lugo's historic center. It explores the concept of the window as a hybrid between a folie, a diorama, a toy, and miniature domestic architecture, remaining in the main square all summer. The second is the documentary "Openings. Sguardi oltre il limite," directed by Francesca Molteni and Mattia Colombo, a choral film along the Via Emilia featuring architects Alvaro Siza, Cino Zucchi, Alfonso Femia, Simone Sfriso, Fiorenzo Valbonesi, photographer Guido Guidi, sports figures Andrea Stella and Davide Cassani, Emergency president Rossella Miccio, chef Massimiliano Mascia, and the late Raoul Casadei. Marcello Bacchini, co-owner with his brother Antonio, stated the aim was to create a non-self-referential project that generates awareness, stories, and culture, uniting narrative, documentation, art, and architecture in celebration of an entrepreneurial path linked to tradition, territory, and innovation.
