Edi Rama's First Solo Exhibition in Italy Opens at Galleria Alfonso Artiaco

exhibition · 2026-04-27

Edi Rama, the current Prime Minister of Albania and an internationally recognized artist, opens his first solo exhibition in Italy at Galleria Alfonso Artiaco in Naples. The show, curated by Lorenza Baroncelli and Joseph Grima, features works from the Doodles series (2000–2012), consisting of marker drawings on old office papers such as fax pages and official correspondence. A central room transforms these doodles into wallpaper, creating an architectural texture. The exhibition also includes the film "Dammi i colori," produced by Anri Sala, which documents Rama's collaborative project to repaint Tirana after his election as mayor. The exhibition runs from June 1 to July 22, 2016.
