Echo Soho: New London art fair during Frieze Week focuses on women-led galleries
Echo Soho, a new independent art fair exclusively featuring women-led galleries, will take place in London from October 16 to 19, 2025, during Frieze Week. Founded by India Rose James, director of Soho Revue, the fair is named after the Greek nymph Echo and the Soho neighborhood. It will be held at the Artists House on Manette Street, a Georgian building that currently hosts Soho Revue's residency program. The ground floor will house a bar and concept store, while the first floor will feature 12 gallery booths. After the fair, the spaces will revert to artist studios. The fair is supported by Soho Estates, the James family's real estate holding company. Booth prices start at £850 for 6 sqm, including installation support, logistics, professional photography, and shared press office services. Exhibitors include Pipeline, Gillian Jason Gallery, Wondering People, and AWITA (Association of Women in the Arts), which will present 'Resonant Spaces: Curating Echoes,' a site-specific group show in the building's former chapel. The program includes engraving workshops, live performances, evening talks, and a private preview curated by the Contemporary Art Society on October 17. Awards include the Soho House Prize, judged by Kate Bryan and Jack Lazenby, offering a year's membership to the private club, and the Echo Soho Cass Art Award, providing materials, mentoring, and visibility in collaboration with Cass Art.
