ECCO: New Online Magazine Launched by French Academy Fellows in Rome
The Villa Medici's fellows from the French Academy in Rome have introduced ECCO, a digital magazine that aims to unite their varied artistic endeavors and engage the public. From January to July 2021, seven issues will be published, each focusing on a specific keyword: Buco (Hole), Colpo (Blow), Piano (Plan), Picco (Peak), Bordo (Edge), Blocco (Block), and Crepa (Crack). The editorial team consists of 16 resident fellows, including composer Noriko Baba and artist Simon Boudvin, among others. Additionally, external contributors such as Pierre Alferi and Nathalie du Pasquier will participate. A collective exhibition featuring the fellows is planned for summer 2021 at Villa Medici.
