ECC Awards Finalists Announced at Personal Structures – Confluences in Venice

The European Cultural Centre of Italy (ECC) has announced the finalists for the ECC Awards, presented within Personal Structures – Confluences, the eighth edition of its international contemporary art exhibition held parallel to the Venice Art Biennale. The exhibition runs from May 9 to November 22, 2026, at Palazzo Bembo, Palazzo Mora, and the Marinaressa Gardens in Venice. Winners will be announced on November 22, 2026, during the closing event. The awards are divided into five categories: Artistic Interpretation of the Theme: Confluences, Research and Curatorial Project, Transdisciplinary Project, Emerging Practices, and Space and Context Project. Finalists come from 17 countries including Japan, the United States, the Netherlands, China, South Korea, France, Pakistan, Nepal, Israel, Bahrain, Canada, and the United Kingdom. The international jury comprises Nargess Banks (UK), Jesús Alberto Flores (Mexico), Rahul Gudipudi (India), Euijung McGillis (Canada), and Anouska Phizacklea (Australia). Notable finalists include B-OWND, Martha Russo, Adrian Parr Zaretsky and Liu Shiming, G-sim Seyeon, Stephens Tapestry Studio with William Kentridge, A+N Studio, Geraldine Ondrizek and Shizuko Takahashi, ORLAN, Mahwish Chishty, Escuela Universitaria ADEMA, Princeton Research Film Studio, Jennifer Garcia Peacock, Desmond Beach, Amelia Galgon, Oona Frost, Jyoti Shrestha, Lynn Christine Kelly, Studio Waldemeyer, Rashid Al Khalifa, and Pnina Afik.
