Ebony L. Haynes Named Global Head of Curatorial Projects at David Zwirner

Ebony L. Haynes, who transformed Tribeca into a gallery hub with 52 Walker, has been appointed global head of curatorial projects for David Zwirner. She opened 52 Walker in 2021 as the mega-gallery's downtown spinoff. In her new role, she oversees curatorial initiatives across Zwirner's international network. Haynes remains committed to ambitious, often impractical exhibitions. In a Q&A, she cited Koyo Kouoh's Venice Biennale as a highlight she looks forward to. She also named Rick Rubin as a surprising influence and said she feels most at home in Tobago. The announcement coincides with her inclusion in the 2026 CULT100 list.
