The Democratic Republic of Congo is facing a severe Ebola outbreak, with health authorities reporting 204 fatalities linked to 867 suspected cases in three provinces as of late Saturday. The World Health Organization had earlier stated there were 177 deaths among 750 suspected cases and declared it an international emergency. In a somber update, the Red Cross noted the loss of three volunteers in the region. Neighboring Uganda has also identified three new cases.
