Dutch Design Week 2019 Hosts Isola Design District from Milan

The 2019 Dutch Design Week (DDW) took place in Eindhoven, featuring over 2,000 designers and 450 events spread across 120 venues, emphasizing speculative and experimental design. The central theme, 'If not now, then when?', encompassed the Design Academy graduation showcase and exhibitions centered on resource efficiency and socially responsible initiatives. In Milan, the Isola Design District hosted 'Unlimited Design – Dutch Edition' at the Pennings Foundation, highlighting 35 designers in its inaugural international exhibition. Gabriele Cavallaro, a co-founder of Blank, sought to establish a global platform following his experience at DDW. Key designers included F Square Studio, Jake Williamson, and Pietro Petrillo, with standout features like Rive Roshan's 'Stilled Life' installation and an exhibition on technological innovation by Berlin Design Farm.
