Duilio Cambellotti exhibition in Terracina's restored San Domenico church

exhibition · 2026-04-27

A dedicated exhibition showcasing the works of Duilio Cambellotti (1876-1960) has been inaugurated in the renovated medieval Cistercian church of San Domenico, located in Terracina, Italy. Entitled 'Al di là del mare' (Beyond the Sea), the display comprises 93 pieces along with historical photographs sourced from the Archivio dell'Opera di Duilio Cambellotti, and will be open until November 20. Cambellotti, associated with the Art Nouveau movement, had significant connections to Terracina, where he crafted various sculptures and memorials, such as the Monumento ai Caduti della Grande Guerra. Curator Francesco Tetro highlighted Cambellotti's maritime ties, while Fabrizio Russo mentioned that the exhibition stemmed from a discussion with Marco Ravaglioli.
