award · 2026-05-04

Coil Art Motive, a cultural group, has introduced the Ducato Prize, a contemporary art award designed to foster connections between modern art and the historical area of the former Duchy of Parma and Piacenza. The goal is to bring contemporary art to Val D'Arda, boost artist recognition, and provide learning opportunities for the jurors. There are two categories: Premio Arte Contemporanea, which is open to artists of all ages from around the world, and Premio Accademia for students from art academies. The award offers €7,000 for the winner and €2,500 for a special mention, along with other prizes for students. A jury including Domenico Quaranta and others will select the finalists, with applications due by February 28, 2019.
