Ducato Prize 2020 Winners Announced Across Two Sections

The winners of the second Ducato Prize have been revealed, an event hosted by Coil Art Motive with backing from Fondazione di Piacenza e Vigevano and endorsed by Comune di Castell'Arquato, Provincia di Piacenza, and Regione Emilia-Romagna. In the Arte Contemporanea category, Guendalina Cerruti (Milan, 1992) was awarded €6,000 for her piece 'Thanks a million.' Special mentions included Pietro Agostoni (Lecco, 1990) for 'Pluffy' and Monia Ben Hamouda (Milan, 1991) for 'Exhaust.' In Arte Accademia, Byron Gago (Santiago de Guayaquil, Ecuador, 1994) received €1,000 for 'Placenta,' with special mentions going to Clarissa Baldassarri (Civitanova Marche, 1994) for 'Sound data logger' and Giulia Crivellaro (Bolzano, 1995) for 'Smooth Threshold.' Finalists earned €2,500 (Arte Contemporanea) and €500 (Arte Accademia). The winning artworks will be showcased in 2021.
