Dubai Culture Launches Inaugural Public Art Commission Open Call

An open call has been launched by Dubai Culture inviting artists based in the UAE to present their proposals for the first Dubai Public Art commission. This initiative is a joint effort with Art Dubai, Alserkal Avenue, Art Jameel, Tashkeel, and Akaas Visual Arts. Art Dubai will oversee the management of the commission, with the announcement of shortlisted artists taking place during Art Dubai from March 1-5. The selected winner will be disclosed in Spring 2023, and their artwork will be installed in a public garden located in Al Hudaiba later that year. All submissions are due by 23:59 on Monday, February 13.
