Drought's iMirror Revives Early 2000s Apple Aesthetic

architecture-design · 2026-05-14

American design collective Drought has reintroduced the iMirror, a full-length mirror inspired by the iPod Nano, now back in production. Standing 1.5 meters tall, the mirror is available in six colors—blue, green, silver, red, pink, and purple—priced at $375. Its design faithfully replicates the iconic music player's structure, with a circular white control wheel at the bottom featuring Drought's logo instead of the original's top function. Each color variant displays the song title "Find Yourself" and the phrase "Now Living" on the upper screen, while the back is inscribed with "iReflect" alongside the Drought logo. Last year, the collective previously explored early internet nostalgia through a collaboration with Napster, the pioneering peer-to-peer file-sharing platform. The iMirror taps into tech nostalgia from the dawn of Apple's product line, including early iPods, iPhones, and MacBooks.
