Drone dealers target Southeast Asian market at Malaysia arms expo

During the Defence Services Asia (DSA) exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, drone manufacturers from locations as diverse as Abu Dhabi and Pretoria are vying for a share of Southeast Asia's rapidly expanding arms market. This biennial event featured numerous international exhibitors, including Resource Industries from the UAE, which highlighted unmanned aerial systems. Mohammed Ayesh, the director of acquisition and development at Resource Industries, emphasized the 'huge demand' from military forces in Asia, characterizing the market as 'very, very big.' The company showcased its high-performance helicopter drone, the '500H.' As regional militaries increasingly allocate resources to drone warfare, vendors claim that 'drone warfare is the future.'
