Drodesera Festival Goes XL for 40th Anniversary Despite Pandemic
Directed by Barbara Boninsegna, the Drodesera festival marks its 40th anniversary alongside Centrale Fies's 20th, offering an XL format from March 2020 through winter. The summer segment, curated by Boninsegna and Filippo Andreatta under the theme Hyperlocal, is scheduled from July 17 to August, predominantly showcasing Italian talent. The inaugural weekend (July 17-19) features performances by MK and Anagoor, along with open studios by Goksu Kunak and the duo Giulia Crispiani & Golrokh Nafisi. The second weekend highlights Chiara Bersani and a collaborative project by Elena Biserna & Anna Raimondo. The third weekend includes both Chiara Bersani and Alessandro Sciarroni, while the final weekend presents CollettivO CineticO. The exhibition 'Storia Notturna' displays works from various artists, with Boninsegna underscoring the importance of community and hybrid programming in the aftermath of COVID-19.
