Drodesera Festival 2018: Supercontinent² and the Future of Performance

The Drodesera festival is set to return with its second edition, titled Supercontinent², under the curation of Barbara Boninsegna and Filippo Andreatta. This year’s lineup boasts 41 events, featuring 30 premieres exclusive to Italy. Notable highlights include Germinal by L'Amicale de Production, a discussion on plant intelligence by Emanuele Coccia, and performances from John The Houseband, Cosmesi, and Thea Hjelmeland. Gerald Kurdian and Philipp Gehmacher will showcase 'My shapes, your words their grey'. Artists like Jacopo Jenna, Marco D'Agostin, and Sotterraneo will reprise their roles with 'Overload'. The video segment features contributions from Jordi Colomer, Werner Herzog, Kristina Norman, and Dries Verhoeven. The sixth edition of the Live Works Performance Act Award focuses on nomadic, genre-fluid performance. The festival is scheduled for July 2018 at Centrale Fies in Dro, Italy.
