Driant Zeneli's video on a white peacock's impossible love to be filmed in Bangladesh Parliament
Driant Zeneli, an artist from Albania born in 1983 in Shkodër, is developing a video project entitled The Six Seasons of the White Peacock. This work tells the story of an unattainable romance between a tear and a white peacock. It received recognition as the winner of the 13th edition of the Italian Council and was showcased at Museo Castromediano in Lecce. Filming is set to take place in the Bangladesh Parliament in Dhaka, designed by Louis Kahn and completed in 1982-83. Diana Campbell, the artistic director of the Dhaka Art Summit, invited Zeneli after she saw his 2022 trilogy at Manifesta in Pristina. The piece, featuring Baroque influences and a soundtrack from the Conservatory of Lecce, will premiere in September and will collaborate with five Bangladeshi artists as it travels to multiple venues.
