Drawing Room’s 2026 Fundraising Auction Features Over 300 Works

Drawing Room in Bermondsey, London, presents its biennial fundraising auction exhibition with over 300 A4 drawings donated by artists. Bidding starts on 9 June at £400, offering an affordable entry point for collecting. The gallery, founded in 2000 by curators Mary Doyle, Kate Macfarlane, and Katharine Stout, moved to its current site in 2023 after several locations around London. Co-directed by Doyle and Macfarlane, the programme takes a broad view of drawing, encompassing sculptural works (Emma MacNally, 2023), film-related pieces (Hardeep Pandhal, 2025), and painting-like illustrations. Notable solo shows include Nicola Tyson, Marc Bauer, and Donna Huddleston. Among the auction works is Vibeke Slyngstad’s ‘Shuafat V’ (2026), a watercolour depicting abandoned land near a refugee camp in East Jerusalem where building permits have been repeatedly denied.
