Dragone Launches in Parma with Video Art and Iconic Bar Under Parmigianino's Gaze

On September 27, 2025, the nonprofit cultural association Dragone made its public debut with a 'Late Brunch' open day at Palazzo Marchi in Parma, featuring a video art program curated by directors Davide Giannella and Ilaria Mancia. Founded in 2024 by Paololuca Barbieri Marchi with cousins Anna and Bianca Marchi, Dragone aims to bridge artists, curators, and audiences between Parma and New York through exhibitions, performances, residencies, and public programs. The event included works by Uri Aran, Yuri Ancarani, Cesare Pietroiusti, Ragnar Kjartansson, Rà Di Martino, and the collective Alterazioni Video, whose 2010 video 'Guidarello Guidarelli' was shown in Italy for the first time after being censored. A performance by Jacopo Benassi and Michele Lombardelli, 'Make war not love,' took place in the ballroom with red lights. Dragone will also involve the 15th-century Castello di Montechiarugolo and collaborate with New York nonprofit RRASP.org. A full triennial exhibition program is planned starting in 2026.
