Dr. Martens Launches Keith Haring-Inspired Boot Collection
Dr. Martens has released a new footwear collection featuring designs by American artist Keith Haring (1958–1990). The collection reimagines two iconic boot models, the 1460 and 1461, with Haring's signature motifs including barking dogs, bats, and winged angels. Produced in partnership with the Keith Haring Estate, the line follows previous Dr. Martens collaborations with the Tate Britain (2018, featuring William Turner's works) and a Jean-Michel Basquiat edition (2020). The brand is also running an online contest until January 19, where participants can win a pair of the Haring boots by answering three questions about the artist. Haring rose to prominence in 1980s New York City counterculture, known for his visual language addressing social and political issues such as racism, homophobia, and capitalism.
