A novel framework known as AGENTONOMICS conceptualizes AI agents as economic entities that can be systematically designed, governed, and managed within a cohesive management architecture. The initial implementation, Dr. AGENTONOMICS, is a lecture agent created for a TUM course focused on AI agents in business administration. Developed during the winter semester of 2025/26 and presented to students in the summer semester of 2026, this agent serves both as a subject of examination and a tool for understanding the framework. Currently, it operates as a web-based tutor that elucidates AGENTONOMICS concepts and responds to student inquiries.
