Double Bill Posters: A Couple's Film Poster Project

other · 2026-05-01

Belgian graphic design duo Sarah Schrauwen and Mathieu Vancamp launched Double Bill Posters in November 2018 as a personal project combining their love of graphic design and film. In the first year, they watched one film per week and each created an individual poster within one hour, using only type and/or illustration and a maximum of three colors. In 2020, they shifted to two posters per month for two films in the same genre—one recent, one older—and one American/Hollywood and one foreign film. They collaborated on designs and invited guest artists Pieter Boels and Geert Verbist. In 2021, the project focuses on notable directors, producing two posters per director every fortnight, aiming to create mini-series that reflect each director's style through consistent design elements or mediums. The project is documented on Instagram and Tumblr.
